The below events are just some of the many you can expect to see at the Eugene Celebration. Some are produced and managed by DEMI, others are not, but all are bound to be full of festive fun!

 

New this year — The Eugene Celebration Mile

The Eugene Celebration Mile will be leading the parade Saturday morning. This road race/walk, featuring accurate chip timing, will follow the parade route, beginning at 9:50 a.m. There will be awards based on age groups, as well as Celebration Mile shirts available for all participants. Competition Not Conflict Signature "Fund-Racing" Event

A Night at the Races
August 28, 2010 at Hayward Field 4:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Competition Not ConflictYou are invited to an unforgettable evening at historic Hayward Field, where you can enjoy good music, food & drink, while enjoying traditional and non-traditional track events for athletes of all ages and abilities. Inspired by the glitz of horse racing, the competitive atmosphere of running, and the spirit of Tracktown, USA's favorite sport, "A Night at the Races" is an event you won't want to miss.

 

To race, volunteer, sponsor or just watch the events, please email vklein@uoregon.edu or visit www.anightattheraces.info. Admission is free with a Eugene Celebration wristband. You can also ride the LTD for free with a wristband, right from the Downtown station right to Hayward Field.

 

Health & Well Being Celebration

The 14th Annual Health and Well-Being Celebration joins the Eugene Celebration. Welcome to an event that enhances health, harmony and happiness in the spirit of fun and community. This is an opportunity to explore together. Booths presenting holistic health products and services, spirituality, ancient traditions, psychic readers, personal growth opportunities, massage, natural food tasting and more make up the Health & Well Being Celebration.

AIA People's Choice Awards

The American Institute of Architects Southwestern Oregon Chapter offers the People's Choice Awards, showcasing the work of local architects, landscape architects, & design professionals. This program spotlights design excellence and demonstrates to the public what the architecture profession provides to enhance the built environment.

Mayor's Art Show

The Mayor's Art Show, sponsored by the Oregon Eye Associates since 1986, is open during the Eugene Celebration to showcase the artistic excellence and diversity of work by visual artists living in Lane County.
