Submissions for Eugene Celebration Film Fest Due July 23

The Eugene Celebration's annual Film Fest features many award-winning independent films and filmmakers from throughout Oregon and around the world.

July 6, 2010 - Eugene, Ore. — The Film Fest is accepting submissions of original films in all genres. New to the festival this year is a slot devoted to fun, original zombie films. Also, festival organizers are seeking music videos for a new segment of the Film Fest.

Eugene Celebration Announces Musical Lineup for 2010 Event

Organizers book several nationally known artists and 17 local favorites; Tickets go on sale July 8 at TicketsWest and other local outlets

July 6, 2010 - Eugene, Ore. — Organizers of the Eugene Celebration have announced the event's lineup of musicians for 2010. Scheduled to perform are 33 artists in a wide variety of musical genres, including blues, bluegrass, hip hop, jazz, Latin, reggae and rock. They will perform on four main stages in downtown Eugene Friday, Aug. 27, through Sunday, Aug. 29. Featured artists include Eugene favorites Medium Troy and Ty Curtis as well as regional and national acts Blitzen Trapper, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Easy Star All-Stars, Helles Belles and Boy Eats Drum Machine.

Eugene Celebration Announces Three-year Partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Presenting Sponsor Northwest Community Credit Union

Collaboration makes possible the construction of two houses in the Eugene-Springfield area; groundbreaking for first house set for July 31 in Springfield

June 1, 2010 - Eugene, Ore. — The Eugene Celebration is proud to announce a partnership with Springfield/Eugene Habitat for Humanity and presenting sponsor Northwest Community Credit Union to fund the construction of two houses in the Eugene-Springfield community over the next three years. The first house will be built in Springfield's Meyer Estates with a groundbreaking event scheduled for Saturday, July 31.
